Get preview (beta) releases
⚠️ Preview versions may contain issues leading to, for example, frequent crashes or data loss.
Testing of and feedback for preview versions is appreciated, but if you are not comfortable dealing with these issues (like exporting your data regularly) maybe do not join.
To learn about and provide feedback on new preview releases, please join the Community. You can also submit feedback on the app page in the Play Store app or send an email.
Installed via Play Store
To get preview versions of SeriesGuide join or leave the preview (also called beta) program:
- visit the Play Store testing website, or
- on your device look for the beta info box on the SeriesGuide page in the Play Store app.
Follow the instructions there. After a few minutes an update to the latest preview version, if there is one available, should be available through the Play Store app. Or when leaving, future updates will only be final versions.
Installed via Obtainium
In Obtainium, open the entry for SeriesGuide and select the pencil to edit it.
Turn on "Include prereleases".
At any later time turn this option off to only receive regular releases going forward.
